Statement on Gender
The Toronto Lions are inclusive of all 2SLGBTQ+ and BIPOC players. This includes members of the transgender, two-Spirit, and non-binary communities no matter their gender expression or stage of transition. The Lions play in the Toronto Rugby Union's Women's Division, but all interested players are welcome, regardless of their gender identity. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
Partnerships
Rainbow Griffins RFC: We are partnering with the Rainbow Griffins in order to provide players the opportunity to develop contact skills and play contract rugby.
Off-Season Indoor Practices
We are currently practicing on Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm at Ballsports Polson Pier, located at 176 Cherry St, Toronto (directions). The last day for these practices will be April 6th. Our last practice will be the Rugolympics, with the winning team receiving a $150 bar tab
Pre-Season Outdoor Practices
Outdoor practices are starting soon! More information will be provided as we confirm dates and locations.
Save The Date
We are planning a social for Saturday, April 23rd! More details will be coming soon, so keep an eye out!
Jerseys & Kit
We are working with Contact Sports to get new jerseys and kit - more details coming soon on what will be available! The first 15 players to register for the 2022 season will also receive a boot bag, and all registered players will receive team socks. Registration will be through Sportlomo - details coming soon!
Club Communications
We have started using Slack for club communications - updates on practices, games, and events will be shared on Slack, along with channels for informal communications between members. Click here to get started!
